- Pickering City Council I am speaking to Pickering City Council about the costly and opaque oversight of Veridian Corporation.
The Chair of Veridian is Councillor Dickerson who pleaded guilty to election fraud of over $25,000.00.
The June Veridian Annual General Meeting is a closed session. The public is not allowed to attend.
Pickering has 5 votes on the board and I believe they are at the centre of the abuses.
This year it has come to light that Veridian has the most expensive governance in the Province - almost double the Provincial average.
Pickering city council seems to have little interest in addressing this situation. We need to show a real presence their to let them know that we demand open and responsible oversight.
I invite all Pickering residents to join me at Pickering City Council to demand that Veridian governance expenses be reined in, that the AGM be opened and that the process of appointing the board be reviewed.
